Bank of America, it turns out, doesn't honor checks written on their accounts unless you have an account with them also. told me to go to a check-cashing store instead.
cutting it that close lately? I would think you cold deposit anyone's check into your own account. Even if you did have an account at the bank, I think "cashing" a check, would ber considered doing a seperate deposit into, and withdraw from your account at the same time.
Rach, because actually cashing a check complicates the banks ability to mire the rest of your money in their burocracy, should you be the unfortunate recipient of - a bad check, a bank error (not in your favor), or the number 312 out of a random number generator.
